Bio

Dr. Gerry Curatola is an internationally recognized biologic dentist, researcher, author and humanitarian with more than 39 years of clinical practice experience. Dr. Curatola studied neuroscience at Colgate University, graduating in 1979. He attended dental school at New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry, 1979-83, where he now serves as Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Cariology and Comprehensive Care. Postdoctoral, he attended Harvard Medical School’s programs in Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) and studied biologic medicine in Switzerland and Germany.

Dr. Curatola has more than 20 years of research experience on the oral microbiome and dental biomaterials biocompatibility, especially in oral care product formulations. He holds multiple patents and trademarks for his pioneering work, and he is the co-inventor of the first prebiotic oral care formulation, Revitin, based on this revolutionary science. Dr. Curatola is considered a leading authority on the oral microbiome, and he lectures extensively on this topic.

He is the Founder and CEO of Revitin Life Sciences in New York, NY, and the Founder and Director of the Rejuvenation Dentistry and Rejuvenation Health clinical practices in New York, NY and East Hampton, NY. In 2018, he established the Biologic Dentistry program for the American Center for Bioregulatory Medicine and Dentistry in Providence RI, and he serves on the Medical Advisory Board for The Bioregulatory Medical Institute (BRMI) in Louisville, KY. In 2006, Dr. Curatola established The Curatola Wing For Clinical Research at New York University to further promote oral-systemic translational research

Dr. Curatola is listed in the Guide to America’s Top Dentists, the Leading Physicians of the World, Who’s Who Amongst Professionals, The Top Dentists of New York, and he is the recipient of the 2021 Dentist of The Year by the Top 100 Registry. In 2006, Dr. Curatola was awarded the Acton Medal from New York University for his outstanding contributions to the University. A frequent guest on The Doctor Oz Show, The Doctors, CBS, CNN, FOX and ABC television networks, Dr. Curatola has also published extensively in professional and lay publications. His latest book, The Mouth-Body Connection, was released by Hachette Publishing in 2017 which explores the bi-directional relationship behind oral health and systemic wellness.

Dr. Curatola has many charitable interests in the United States, Europe, India and Africa. In January 2018, The Dr. Gerry Curatola Dental Clinic was dedicated in Anathavarum, India to provide pro-bono dental care to thousands of the underserved in that region. He actively supports The Dental Wellness Foundation to the underserved in South Africa, and the UK. In 2009, he was presented the Humanitarian Award by The Retreat in East Hampton, NY for his contributions and pro-bono services for victims of domestic violence.
